Learn more about our work
Communication is central to every aspect of our church’s life and structure, which, in many ways, makes every church leader a communicator. Each ministry, role, and interaction contributes to how information is shared and how our church is experienced. However, as the dedicated Communication Department, our role in ministry is clearly defined and intentional: to ensure that church members are well informed, aligned, and engaged, and that our church is accurately, respectfully, and positively represented to the wider community.
Our work is guided by the church’s core values—Resilience, Inclusivity, Community of Faith, and Fellowship. These values shape not only what we communicate, but how we communicate. We strive to be resilient in adapting to change and challenges, inclusive in ensuring every voice and ministry is represented, faithful in reflecting Christ-centered messages, and intentional in fostering connection and fellowship within and beyond our church family. Through clear, timely, and thoughtful communication, we seek to strengthen unity, build trust, and support the mission of the church.
The following are the four key areas that encompass our ministry as the Communication Department at Pinehouse Drive SDA church:

Public Relations
As the Communication Department, we are responsible for building, monitoring, and protecting the image and reputation of our local church within the wider community. This includes ensuring that all public-facing communication reflects the church’s mission, values, and beliefs with clarity and integrity. We seek to foster trust, credibility, and positive relationships with the public by presenting the church as welcoming, transparent, and service-oriented, while also responding thoughtfully to concerns or misunderstandings that may arise.

Media Relations
Our role in media relations is to increase public awareness of our church—its members, mission, and message—through effective engagement with local and regional media outlets. We work to ensure that church activities, events, and initiatives receive accurate and appropriate media coverage. When relevant, we assist in communicating the church’s perspectives on community and faith-related issues, helping to ensure that our message is represented clearly, responsibly, and in alignment with Adventist values.

News and Information
Keeping church members informed is a vital function of the Communication Department. We coordinate the timely sharing of information about worship services, ministries, programs, and special events through appropriate communication channels. In addition, we share relevant church news with conference communication directors and the broader Adventist family, strengthening connection, collaboration, and unity across the church.

Advertising and Promotion
One of our most important responsibilities is to strategically promote church programs, outreach initiatives, and evangelistic campaigns. Through thoughtful planning, creative messaging, and the effective use of digital, print, and in-person platforms, we aim to increase awareness, encourage participation, and attract attendance. Our promotional efforts are designed not only to inform, but also to inspire engagement and support the church’s mission of sharing the gospel.
